Donate Gently-Used Items to the Thrift Shop  

WHAT TO DONATE

 

PLEASE READ THIS PAGE CAREFULLY...

Newark Neighbours has to pay for the disposal of any items that are unsuitable for sale. 

You can help maximize the benefit of your donation to the community by donating only items we can use,

and by following the procedures for dropping off donations.

All donated items must be in

CLEAN AND IN GOOD CONDITION

WE GRATEFULLY RECEIVE...
WE CANNOT ACCEPT...

  • Winter outdoor wear

  • Clothes for women, men and children - all sizes

  • Accessories - including gloves, scarves, belts and hats

  • Watches and Jewelry

  • Shoes and boots for women, men and children 

  • Bedding - all sizes (except pillows)

  • Towels

  • Dishes, glassware and cutlery - no chips or cracks

  • Pots, pans and bake-ware

  • Small appliances in working order - including microwaves, toaster ovens, vacuum cleaners 

  • Radios and clock radios

  • Fans and room heaters

  • Lamps and other small decor items

  • Suitcases, Backpacks and Duffel Bags

  • DIY Tools

  • Laptops, tablets, unlocked cell phones and associated accessories

  • Bicycle pumps, lights, locks and safety vests

  • Eye-glasses (for donation to the Lions' Club)

  • Formal attire (for donation to The Prom Project) 

  • Furniture

  • Office equipment

  • Desktop Computers

  • Books (of any kind), CDs and DVDs

  • Kitchen or bath cabinets, sinks or baths 

  • Large appliances, including TVs

  • Children’s toys, strollers, or car seats

  • Carpets

  • Bed pillows

  • Mattresses, box springs or baby cribs

  • Building materials, paints or yard waste

  • Bicycle helmets or sports equipment

  • Plastic dishes/bowls/glasses/containers ​

  • Medical equipment and supplies (For The Needy Not The Greedy will accept these items)

HOW TO DROP OFF DONATIONS

IF THE SHOP IS CLOSED

Please place your donations

in one of the bins outside the side door.

Please do not leave them on the ground.
